We are Solicitors and are authorized to administer Oaths and Statutory Declarations and Certify any document and we can be a Witness Signature to any document.

The fixed cost is £30 for EACH & EVERY document signed and stamped.   Appointment takes 5 minutes.  Your document MUST be fully completed by you BEFORE you attend but DO NOT sign it.

We do NOT accept debit or credit card for this Service. Cash or cheque only.

YOU MUST SIGN THE DECLARATION OR OATH IN FRONT OF THE SOLICITOR.  DO NOT SIGN UNTIL YOU SEE THE SOLICITOR.

Before your appointment - please note

• Your document must be ready and your photographic ID with you. We do not photocopy documents.
• Please ensure you have carefully read and understood the document you are signing.
• The solicitor cannot provide any legal advice or offer any opinion in relation to the document you are signing.
• The solicitors will only administer the oath, statutory declaration or certify your document. No advice will be given.

ID1 Forms

• Please bring a UK passport or UK driving licence, current year council tax bill, a recent bank statement with a debit card and two passport size photographs.

Certain documents, such as affidavits or declarations, must be sworn on oath. The oaths and certifications solicitors at Anglo Law can provide a fast, reliable, affordable service for the witnessing of oaths as part of our comprehensive legal support and advice.

If you are required to swear a document, and you wish to swear on your religious book you will be asked to take the appropriate book in your right hand and repeat back words that swear that the contents of your declaration are accurate and true. If you are not of a religious faith, you can choose to ‘affirm' rather than swear on a religious book. Once you have done this, you will be asked to sign it in your usual fashion and then the solicitor witnessing the oath will sign and stamp the document to say that they saw you swear or affirm.

There are strict rules about how and when an oath must be sworn. The good news is we can administer all oaths and statutory declarations of any sort. For these matters, we offer a same day service and lunchtime or after work appointments so that it is convenient with your working day and does not eat up too much of your precious time. Our fees are fixed and kept low for a quick, hassle-free and convenient service.

You may be wondering why your solicitor could not administer your Oath and it is because the solicitor who prepares the Oath or Statutory Declaration cannot administer the oath – this must be carried out by another solicitor who is independent, a Commissioner for Oaths or a court official who has the authority to administer oaths.
